Description

One of the best ways to experience this area is to take advantage of our packages . Our specials offer a convenient way to visit the Cape Villages, Nantucket, and the surrounding area's must-see spots . Whether you are interested in whale watching, fun at the beach, or learning about the area's unique history, we have something for you. The following specials can be booked online from our website or just give us a call at 508-888-6958 and tell us when you would like to come for a visit.

Inn specialties include pumpkin-cranbran muffins, cinnamon raisin scones, cheddar-dill scones, baked eggs, eggs in a ham basket with herbed tomatoes and potato gratin, and whole grain-blueberry pancakes. A typical breakfast consists of seasonal fresh fruit compote, home-baked fruit breads, muffins or scones, an egg dish, juice, Starbucks coffee and assorted fine teas. For guests who are day-tripping to Nantucket on the early ferry, we provide a wonderful take-along breakfast bag you can enjoy on the 55-minute trip to the island.

Bourne has a well-kept secret, well, maybe only from me. I heard about it when we had guests at our bed and breakfast who visited there. It is the National Marine Life Center , which is a hospital for marine animals and an education center. Located on Main Street in Buzzards Bay, the center’s mission is two-fold. The hospital is dedicated to rehabilitating stranded marine animals so that they can be released into their natural habitat. The Education Center is dedicated to advancing education about marine wildlife health and conservation; a worthy mission indeed.

A special treat at this year’s First Night is the kick off of the year-long celebration of Sandwich’s 375 Anniversary. Although the village was founded in 1637, it was not incorporated until 1639. From January through December, 2014, special celebratory events will be going on almost every month to commemorate the founding of the oldest town on Cape Cod.

One of our favorite summer season outings is a trip to the Cape Cod Melody Tent to enjoy a live musical performance. There is simply no better way to experience a concert than at this venue. For over 60 years, some of the best performers in the world have graced the stage here. This theater is one of the few outdoor theaters-in-the-round still in existence. The intimate setting has attracted patrons and performers to this venue for decades. With no seat more than 50 feet from the stage, every concert attendee is assured a great experience.
