History 1st BridgeHouse was formed as a collaborative effort between L. Rainey Gray and Howard B. Landers, two brokerage veterans with similar tenure and experiences in different industry segments. After cooperating early in 2001 on several consulting projects, they decided to formalize their partnership the next year by creating 1st BridgeHouse Consulting, LLC. Rainey and Howard have continued to build on their reputation as consultants with more than just knowledge of industry rules and regulations; they have real industry experience from which the clients of 1st BridgeHouse Consulting are able to benefit. Gray and Landers were sought out for more than just regulatory consulting and audit work, they were also sought out to help in structuring firms, to assist in the acquisition of broker-dealers on behalf of other larger financial institutions, and to provide assistance in the legal defense of broker-dealers. To meet the needs of their growing list of client firms which often suffer from a lack of product offerings and deal flow from their clearing brokers, Rainey and Howard took an FINRA registered broker-dealer owned by Rainey, re-structured it to give the broker-dealer new business lines, and re-named it 1st BridgeHouse Securities, LLC. 1st BridgeHouse Securities serves as an investment banking firm for small to medium sized independent broker-dealers. The firm sources, creates, and structures transactions and then forms syndicates of selling firms that place the deals with its own clientele. The 1st BridgeHouse group of companies continues to grow with other operating divisions and many other talented persons. Additionally, 1st BridgeHouse is proud to partner with other firms that bring specific expertise to our clientele. This expertise ranges from consulting services for banking or other financial related institutions, to data processing for broker-dealers to help made better sense of payroll and compliance reports originating from clearing firms.
