Description

The 340B Drug Pricing Program (340B Program) was created in 1992 to provide discounts on outpatient prescription drugs to select safety net providers. The goal was to provide discounts to more patients in need, while delivering more comprehensive services and systems. As part of the improvements it was to drive more efficient business practices, quality assurance and outcomes-driven pharmacy services.
