August 2007 3GEN SUBMITS RESEARCH PROPOSAL WITH NIH FOR NEW CRYOSTAT DECONTAMINATION DEVICE 3Gen Scientific, with assistance from the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation and other collaborators, has submitted a research proposal with the National Institutes of Health for the development of a new, patent-pending device that will revolutionize the cleaning and disinfecting of cryostats. Utilizing a recently developed UV technology, this mobile device will enable histologists to decontaminate multiple cryostats while still in it's low temperature operating state. This new container technology includes an attached Touch-Top lid with a patented triple-seal design that prevents leaking while eliminating the need for separate screw caps. These containers have already revolutionized the drug and dairy testing market, and are now available exclusively through authorized 3Gen Scientific Resellers for use in pathology. March 2004 3GEN ANNOUNCES PLANS TO DEVELOP NEW BIOPSY ORGANIZER PLATE 3Gen Scientific announces plans to develop and market a new product used in the field of gastroenterology. The product is called a BOP Kit. BOP stands for Biopsy Organizer Plate, and is a secure plate of specialized, easy to open and reseal biopsy specimen containers in an anatomical map format. In conventional gastroenterology(GI) procedures, multiple biopsies are taken from the upper or lower GI tract, placed in individually labeled specimen containers for transport to the laboratory. With the BOP kit, all of the patient’s specimens are maintained in several biopsy containers in one contained unit. This not only streamlines and simplifies the process but reduces the risk of specimen misidentification. 3Gen Scientific will be providing prototyping and commercialization services for the product’s inventor, Dr. Terry Tatum of Bowling Green, KY, with assistance from the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation.
