We obtain our products from excellent companies around the world, including Elforlight, Standa, Photodigm, and AdvR. 4Ad was founded in 1995 by Bob Tamosaitis under the name Altos, Inc. In 2006, Altos spun out 4AD Enterprises to concentrate on laser diode based products. Additionally, we have been involved in the acquisition and licensing-out of key technologies to assist both start-ups and established companies. For example, 4AD has licensed rights to AdvR, Inc. for 16 KTP (Potassium Titanyl Phosphate) related patents originally acquired from DuPont.
