The Thermoplastic Materials and Foams Division is organized to provide a focal point for the interchange of information relating to non-vinyl thermoplastic resins including fluoropolymers, polyamides, polyesters, polyolefins, polystyrenes, their filled and/or reinforced products, and their foamable products. Its interests lie in stimulating the development of scientific and engineering knowledge.

The Membership Application Form requires individuals to provide contact information -- mail, address(es), phone number(s), and email address(es), together with demographic and profile information, i.e., job title, and areas of interest. SPE also collects limited financial information such as a check or credit card number. SPE uses the information to provide member services. Those services involve mailing Plastics Engineering Magazine, as well as catalogs and promotions of products, meetings, and services offered by SPE.
