5B Investments Incorporated and its predecessor, Chris R. Stephens Inc, have completed over 500 projects in the capacity of Architect, Contractor, and/or Developer. After enjoying a great reputation in Orange County, California through the 1980s, Chris R. Stephens sold the business and relocated his family to Sun Valley, Idaho to start 5B Investments. Continuing in the same business style, 5B has evolved into an operating business with interests in commercial, multi-family and restaurant properties. While 5B now provides most of its own equity, it is proud that there has never been a situation where an investor or lender has lost money in a project involving Chris R. Stephens. Chris R. Stephens Chris R. Stephens, CEO and Founder of 5B Investments Incorporated, started 5B Investments in October of 1989 as a small investment and development firm. Today, 5B Investments is an international company with interests in Canada and the United States. With 2,000 employees in companies with revenues in excess of $100 million, Chris has evolved 5B into an operating business with interests in commercial, multi-family and restaurant properties. These projects include; Multi-Family Residential such as Liberty Lake Apartments, Boise Idaho; The Cross Creek Apartments at Grapevine Ranch, Grapevine, Texas; Self Storage such as Midway Self Storage, Carrollton, Texas; Preston Road Self Storage, Texas; Industrial projects such as Gowen Business Center, Idaho; Wasatch Corporate Park, Utah; Commercial Sites in the Park Center area of Boise; Westpark Business Center, Nextel’s Boise headquarters; and Westpark Montessori School of Irvine, California. In true entrepreneurial spirit, Chris has expanded his resume to include a majority ownership in Mach Robin, LLC and Red Robin Restaurants of Canada Limited, which own and operate over 30 Red Robin Restaurants in Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Illinois and Western Canada. Chris holds a Bachelor of Architecture, Highest Honors, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Highest Honors from California Polytechnic State University. Professionally, Chris has been a licensed Architect and Contractor for over 25 years, holds an Airline Transport Pilot's license with jet type ratings and is a licensed Paramedic. Kevin Embree Kevin Embree, Chief Financial Officer, 5B Investments Incorporated, leads all financial and business management aspects of Liberty Lake Apartments, Storage Plus, Incorporated, Wasatch Corporate Park, Mach Robin and Red Robin Canada. Kevin has a strong knowledge and proven track record in forecasting, budgeting, analysis, management, and installing effective management information systems. As an integral part of the start up team for Mach Robin, Kevin was responsible for managing cash flow, financial forecasting, resource allocation, researching and implementing new software at the restaurant and corporate level.
