Description

The Opportunity Center for the Homeless consists of two homeless shelters, one for single adult men and one for single adult women, and seven residential centers for the elderly, single women (3), mentally ill, veterans, and men and women in school/work programs. Beyond the required food, shelter, and clothing needs, the OC also provides services to help return clients to the path of a home-based or self-sufficient lifestyle. The Lawton Food Bank was founded in 1985 to fight hunger, the cause of hunger and the problems related to hunger in the Lawton-Fort Sill community. Currently the largest food pantry in southwest Oklahoma, the Lawton Food Bank provides food and provisions for hardworking families in need.
