A-1 Laminating was born in August 1984 with very humble beginnings. Started in the kitchen on a few thousand dollars, big dreams and a lot of hopes, we were one of three companies in the area. Competing with two other store Front companies while maintaining a full time day job as a draftsman meant most of the work was done at night, in the then one man operation. Each evening orders would be picked up and dropped off at a store front arranged for with another business. Rush orders would have to be dropped off the next morning. In some cases, when time lines demanded, the customers would actually have to come into my home. Sleep was something rather unaccustomed, until I finally started trading my roommate his rent for labor so both of us could get some sleep. As time progressed, customers developed with delivery requirements, further packing an already full schedule.
