Description

Founded in the late 1890s, by the Solomon family, ACME Block & Brick, Inc. is one of the oldest industries to consistently do business in Roane County since its inception. Getting its start as Acme Block and Tile Company, the Solomons ran the business up until 1942, when an entrepreneur by the name of A.J. Rivers, Sr. bought the company. Then, the company was originally designed to service the Roane County area, and later with the development of Oak Ridge, Anderson County.
