Salt Lake Community College's newly constructed administration complex was a tremendous opportunity to create a state-of-the-art education facility and to provide an innovative workspace for SLCC administration. Enhancing Taylorsville's unique character with a 21st century presence, the SLCC administrative complex provides much needed classroom and study space for a college experiencing significant growth.

Jill A. Jones founded ajc architects in Salt Lake City 23 years ago as a 100% woman-owned business, with pioneering determination and an unwavering commitment to value for her clients. Jill has crafted an architectural practice that is passionate about relationships, education, and the environment. While ajc’s portfolio spans a diverse range of project types, we are most proud of those that provide solutions which improve our condition, as a whole.

Jill founded ajc architects in 1991. Since that time, she has acted as Principal-in-Charge of every project at ajc architects, taking personal responsibility for quality design, meeting schedules and maintaining budgets. Her talent for project administration and team leadership has allowed ajc to develop a stable client base and take on increasingly high profile designs. Her pursuit of work with a range of private, corporate, institutional, and government clients has led her to become licensed in 36 states.

The National Park Service (NPS) constructed the Moose Maintenance building in the1960’s. A small two-story portion was added to the north end of the building in the 1970’s. The gabled roof construction provided the opportunity to create additional administrative office space at the second floor, at a relatively low cost, but was only completed to a ‘shell only” level in the 1970’s. Limited third floor (mezzanine) space was also constructed.

Elledge recently joined ajc architects with 35 years of experience in the architectural field, 20 of those years as a licensed architect. Building code compliance is his specialty.
