ALW’s signature event, The State Fair Classic, the rivalry between Grambling State University’s Tigers and Prairie View A&M University’s Panthers, is now in its 31st year. The event has attracted more than 2 million spectators and ranks amongst the top three classic football games. Held during the Texas State Fair, the country’s largest fair, the classic has been sponsored by many corporate organizations such as Southwest Airlines, State Farm Insurance, Budweiser, US Army, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola and the City of Dallas. The success of the Tyler Perry’s critically acclaimed Madea series, which has been described as the “best stage plays to hit the road”, can be partly attributed to ALW’s creativity and dedication to promoting. The company also produced the He Say, She Say, But What Does God Say play featuring Kirk Franklin and the Family; Hopeville Tour featuring Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Kirk Franklin, The Mary Tour featuring Mary J. Blige and the Sisters in the Spirit Tour featuring Sheila E., Martha Munizzi and Kelly Price. ALW Entertainment also uses their experience and connections in the concert world to book major artists for the U.S. Army MWR, Tom Joyner’s Family Reunion in Orlando, FL., and the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage Cruiseon the Royal Caribbean.
