ATA has a long history of providing engineering services to the defense industry. We provide support both to defense contractors and directly to Department of Defense agencies. The defense products we have supported include military wheeled and tracked vehicles, directed energy weapons, missiles, shipboard electronics systems, airborne sensor suites, deployable bridges, cargo aircraft, fighter jets, and unmanned aerial systems.

NX Nastran is a premium computer-aided engineering (CAE) tool that major manufacturers worldwide rely on for their critical engineering computing needs to produce safe, reliable and optimized designs within increasingly shorter design cycle times.

ATA Engineering’s staff has over thirty years of experience in the design, analysis, and testing of complex, highly-engineered structures subject to severe dynamic loads. ATA was formed as a 100% employee-owned company through the purchase of all assets and contractual obligations of the Advanced Test and Analysis group of Structural Dynamics Research Corporation in April, 2000. Since its inception, ATA has steadily grown from 28 employees in San Diego to almost 100 employees in six offices distributed throughout the United States.

ATA has worked with the amusement park and show business industry since the 1980’s. ATA brings multiple skill sets to the table to tackle a wide variety of challenges within these areas. ATA applies those skills and experience in diverse programs in which structural and mechanical issues are critical to the safe and trouble-free operation of attractions.

ATA works with equipment manufacturers, building engineers, appropriate reviewing bodies, and the installing contractor to ensure that all necessary regulations are met while achieving proper design intent. ATA has experience verifying structures through the use of calculations based on building plan drawings as well as explicit qualification testing where drawings and/or inspection is not available or able to provide enough detail. ATA is staffed with licensed Professional Engineers (PEs) that have familiarity with both OSHA and OSHPD regulatory requirements.
