Something extraordinary has happened in the 42 years that A Better Chance has been in existence. The face of American leadership has changed – and changed for the better – because that face now contains every shade of the human rainbow. We’re proud that some of the brightest faces belong to A Better Chance alumni. We have grown from just 55 students at approximately ten schools in 1964 to 1600 students at 250 member schools today. We boast over 11,000 alumni – young men and women of color who have proven themselves in the rigorous environment of the nation’s finest public and private college preparatory schools. These individuals overcame numerous challenges and now contribute to society as doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers, artists, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. They are a testament to what talent, paired with opportunity, can achieve in American society.
