EventMasters opened for business in Truckee in 1995 and is owned and operated by John and Kay Witney. In September, 2000 they were awarded the title of ‘Small Business of the Year’ by the Truckee-Donner Chamber of Commerce and March 2003 saw their expansion into South Lake Tahoe. Their aim is to make party and event-planning as stress-free as possible with their ‘one-stop’ wedding and party shops.business for 18 years. A retired firefighter/medic/fire marshal, he is currently on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce and a Rotarian.Kay is from England with a background in the travel industry. Fluent in French and German, she was an international tour guide holding the coveted ‘Blue Badge’ of London before moving to California in 1990.
