Although thirty years of days were spent practicing law, Painting was always a passionate avocation. In 1989 Jane began the serious study of art with the incomparable Lynn Torrini. She studied drawing and easel painting with her until 1997, when she discovered the joy of painting outside. Putting her love of the outdoors together with painting led her to scale back the law practice while she attended classes at the Scottsdale Artists School and the Southern California Art Institute. By 1998 the lure of being a full time painter led her to shutter the law practice; and devote full time to painting. She
