PartsLogistics.com, with its wide array of subsidiaries - AvSupport Online, ElectroSupport Online, IndustrialSupport Online, GovSupport Online, DRMSInfo Online, and MarineSupport Online, are wholly owned by AvSupport Inc. AvSupport was born August 1994, in a small office in Corpus Christi, Texas by founder and current CEO K.C. Hemelstrand. In addition to being an A&P mechanic and pilot, K.C. Hemelstrand has a background as the vice president of a successful aircraft parts business, and as sales manager of a high paced east coast aviation firm. He combined his business background with his interest in computers and the internet and set his sights on giving the aviation industry a viable aircraft parts database and information logistics system at a reasonable price.K.C. Hemelstrand used his connections with numerous industry manufacturers and suppliers to create an initial parts database. He knew from experience that AvSupport's users were busy professionals who needed an integrated application to retrieve the required parts data; therefore, he didn't waste any time adding new tools and features to the system, creating the most comprehensive online parts location and information logistics system in the industry.Due to the company's rapid growth, AvSupport had to add to its staff of competent sales, membership services, accounting, technical support, and product development personnel; the company quickly outgrew its Corpus Christi facilities. In April of 1997, corporate headquarters were moved to Fargo, North Dakota, to tap into the highly-trained and motivated workforce of technical-minded individuals for which the area is known.
