Description
Since 1996, AAASP (pronounced ?asp?) has made competitive after-school athletics a possibility for hundreds of Georgia kids with physical disabilities or visual impairments in grades one through 12. Week after week throughout the school year, these kids are active in leagues comparable to interscholastic sports accessible for decades to youth who are not disabled. More than 1.5 million American kids with physical disabilities still need and deserve this opportunity. Now, AAASP is joining forces with national authorities in sport and physical fitness, to build the framework that will one day soon make it possible for all of America?s physically disabled youth to be active in competitive sports throughout their school years.
