Description

Our mission is to foster long-term relationships with clients by providing professional project and construction management consulting services. To that end, we will deliver projects for owners and lenders nationwide that exceed industry standards in terms of cost, quality and time. In 2010 Abacus became an affiliate of Teyma, a company founded in 1980 and which is a subsidiary of Abengoa. Teyma is the engineering and industrial construction company of Abengoa ( www.abengoa.com ).

Abacus Project Management, Inc. was founded in 1990 as a professional management company to provide a comprehensive range of services within the project/construction management profession to meet the needs of owners and real estate developers nationwide and to successfully accomplish their project goals.

As part of Abacus’ expansion plan into the Texas market, the American firm opened last September a new office in Austin, Texas. This office will be managed by Jim Shannon, P.E., an engineer with 32 years of experience for various projects and clients including the Department of Defense in the United States and around the world. The new office will be focused on Austin, San Antonio and the surrounding areas. It will also support Abacus’ work for the Austin-Bergstrom Int’l Airport ConRAC Facility project, where Abacus is currently providing Project Management services.

At Teyma USA, Abengoa's construction company for North America, we provide construction and sustainable engineering services for industrial projects that are turnkey or EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), focusing on the renewable energy sector. In addition, we have international experience as builders of all types of infrastructure and industrial projects.

A market research study completed by McGraw Hill Construction for the Construction Management Association of America Foundation cites leadership, communication and problem avoidance as key benefits received by Owners who engage Construction Managers (CM’s) on their projects. The study looked at a number of projects in six major industry sectors including K-12 education, higher education, government buildings, healthcare, streets / highways and water / waste-water.
