At Ability Building Center, our mission is to improve the quality of life in Southeastern Minnesota by providing rehabilitation and employment services for persons with disabilities and other special needs.
This program provides assistive technology services to individuals with disabilities of all ages, their caregivers, and the professionals who work with them. It guides individuals to achieve independence in their employment, at home and in the classroom. Over the years, SMATC continued to develop its reputation as the regional assistive technology center. Currently, the program is funded in part by the Minnesota STAR Program (A System of Technology to Achieve Results) and the United Way of Olmsted County.
