Absolute Wireless was founded in 2001 as a cellular phone retailer before today's major carriers knew that Hillsboro, OR existed (before today's major carriers even existed, frankly). The company started to diversify its product line even before cellular phones became commodity products and today's major carriers found Hillsboro. Once that happened we largely got out of the cell phone business and applied our energies & technical expertise to areas where we could add value for our customers. Much of what we do now is at our customer's residence or place of business, so we closed our retail storefront in late 2007 to minimize our costs and have since operated as a mobile and/or web-based business.
