Back to Articles Acadian names Scott Domingue president of Safety Management Systems FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, October 11, 2010 Acadian Companies announces the promotion of Scott Domingue to the position of president of Safety Management Systems. As president, Domingue assumes overall responsibility for the entire division and will report directly to Acadian Companies President & Chief Operating Officer David Pierce. Domingue began his career at Acadian Ambulance in 1988. He served through the ranks of various divisions of management with Acadian Ambulance and transitioned to Safety Management Systems as project development supervisor, sales and marketing manager and most recently as vice president. A Louisiana State University graduate, Domingue earned a degree in Business Administration. He is also a Leadership Lafayette graduate and served on the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce as a member of the Energy Committee. He is involved in many civic, social, professional, and religious activities in the community such as a Loaned Executive of the United Way of Acadiana, a member of the 2010 class of Leadership Louisiana, and has been named one of The Daily Advertiser’s Top 20 Under 40. In 2006, Acadian Integrated Solutions, subsidiary of Acadian Companies, merged with Safety Management Systems. The merger created one of the largest providers of health, safety, and environmental management services in the southern region.
