With over 23 years of combined investment experience in real estate and securities, Joel Sheldon focuses on investment strategies and retirement planning services for individuals, businesses, and institutional investors. Mr. Sheldon has Series 7, 62, 63, and 66 securities licenses and a California life insurance license, and offers investment opportunities in both the stock market and alternative investments.

Working with you, I’ll take the time to understand every aspect of your current financial situation, listen to your dreams and aspirations and explain your options to help make informed choices. I’ll create a plan to help accomplish your short and long-term goals and provide an ongoing review of your plan to help keep you on track as your financial situation and needs change. My goal is to provide you with personalized financial planning over time that starts with you, not numbers.

Prior to becoming licensed as a securities professional, he was a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California for over 20 years and a Senior Environmental Engineer for Environmental Consulting firms; he still holds an active P.E. license in California. He obtained a B.S. in Engineering and an M.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, and also is a graduate of Landmark Education’s Curriculum for Living. His interest in various kinds of investments along with his desire to work more closely with people spawned his change in career from engineer to financial advisor. Originally from New York City, he and his wife reside in Southern California with their three children, where he has coached on their athletic teams and participates with the Boy Scouts.

Along with his advisory team, Joel provides investment and insurance strategies with consideration to tax implications. His experience includes investments in or related to the stock market and insurance (including annuities), real estate, land development, oil and gas, and solar energy. Mr. Sheldon has a strong customer relations background and is a strong proponent of providing exemplary customer service.
