We became social entrepreneurs after a life-changing event that involved our granddaughter. She attended a “magnet” school in the system. At a parent– t eacher conference John read some essays posted on a bulletin board titled “The Night.” One seventh grade girl wrote: Accent on Success ® , a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping students succeed in school and in life, is the direct result of that young girl’s essay.
