A person centered approach to counseling is based on the underlying beliefs that human in a normal condition are positive in nature and have the natural desire to develop and improve themselves. A person who is facing psychological problems in lives is mainly due to the inner feelings of non acceptance, rejections, or unloved which should be dealt first before coping or solving the problems. Therefore this approach emphasizes on the counselor’s genuine qualities of a non judgmental and unconditional acceptance, which is felt by the client. In addition, the ability to understand and empathize with the client’s subjective world will make the client feel relief, accepted and good about her/himself.
