Description

We continue to broaden our knowledge base of design, access, construction, occupational therapy, real estate, project management, and innovative products. Your project will most likely touch upon all of these areas and we want to be there for you. We're always striving to improve the quality of our solutions, skills, and services to better guide you through this process. As the field of home access grows, we continue to lead with new ideas and services that meet your needs.

Jane Hampton has broken new ground with her Minneapolis, Minnesota-based design, consultation, project management and product recommendation firm, which specializes in home access for individuals of all ages and abilities. Licensed as an Interior Designer by the state of Minnesota, Jane has a wide range of experience as an Access Specialist and Project Manager. Jane’s expertise lies in her ability to integrate beauty, safety, function, and ease of maintenance into residential access creating user-friendly environments for her clients with disabilities.

With a degree in Legal Studies, her time as a paralegal at a defense firm and 15 years of experience in the workers’ compensation field, Heather developed a natural ability for creative problem solving and managing issues involving both home remodeling and accessibility. Spurred by the possibilities available to those of all ages and abilities, Heather launched a new career with Accessibility Design as a Home Modification Facilitator and earned her Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation in 2011.

No. Accessibility Design is a design, consultation, products specification, and projects management firm. As we've grown and developed our services over the years, we've chosen not to expand into the contractor function so that we can remain your advocate during the construction phase of your project.

You are not alone. We are frequently asked this question during our client's initial contact with us. It's a complicated question without just one easy answer. That's why we offer a home access site visit as service. We provide an initial phase of consultation to assist you with this critical decision. During this site visit, we will review the advantages and disadvantages of staying in your home, construction opportunities and limitations of your current home, and the pro's and con's of investing in renovation of your current home versus applying that money to new construction.
