Accountable Kids was created, not because we had all the answers, but because we had many of the same questions as other parents. We began searching for a program to teach our children accountability, responsibility, and integrity. Many books provide information on how to parent effectively, but few offered the "nuts and bolts" or the step by step instructions on how to achieve specific goals. We also found that most books did not address the values and morals we believed needed to be at the core of our child rearing. We decided to unite our efforts and design a unique program for our children. Accountable Kids represents the combined knowledge of Scott's fifteen years working with adolescents and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, along with Traci's practicality and insight as a mother of three children. As we developed the Accountable Kids program and observed the positive effect it had in our home, we decided to share this unique system with family and friends. In so doing, we discovered that Accountable Kids was the solution that other families were seeking. We also noticed that the program was not only beneficial to families with young children like ours, but it proved effective with children reaching into their teenage years. What started out as a way to create a more harmonious family life in our home, grew into a complete parenting program suitable for other parents and children. Accountable Kids is now "on the go"...
