The industry standard for transmission service is every 30,000 miles under ideal driving conditions (note: There is no such thing as ideal driving conditions in Michigan). That is why this service is recommended industry wide every 20,000 miles. -Transmission fluid is 60% detergent and 40% lubricants. - -If you’re stuck, don’t spin your wheels. If you can’t “rock it out” in a couple of attempts, you’re probably not going to. A tow truck is less expensive than a transmission repair.
