Description

We provide a full range of services to the broadcast industry, ranging from site evaluation and layout through transmitter conversions to equipment troubleshooting and repairs. We also sell spare parts and new equipment for transmitter upgrades.

Support of the Ai installed base continues to be a priority but the company focus has expanded to include service on all types of transmitters and significant activity in the field of Mobile DTV upgrades, as well as providing other valuable services to US broadcasters, such as IOT cavity repairs and rebuilds.

Our staff has been involved in all aspects of transmitter design, manufacture and service and we bring over 150 years of combined experience to bear on any project.

In early 2011, the company entered into a Distribution Agreement with decontis ( view press release here ), creator of the atscSAM suite of software products, to provide integrated monitoring solutions for DTV systems. The company's new product, the SAM-MT 450 M/H Monitoring probe ( view data sheet here ), was selected by the MCV for installation at all member stations. Approximately 70 probes were supplied and installed in late 2011, along with the Operations Center hardware and software for network monitoring. The SAM-MT 450 is also available for ATSC only monitoring .

Acrodyne Services operates out of facilities in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The initial major focus of the company was to provide continuation of service and support for the large, installed base of transmitters sold by Acrodyne Industries (Ai) over its 40 year history, including products manufactured by Rohde & Schwarz and Linear Industries. An extensive spare parts inventory coupled with the necessary technical and manufacturing documentation and engineering expertise facilitate this goal.
