Action Engineering capped off a great Labor Day weekend of racing with the USMTS series as Mike Sorensen picked up a win on Saturday night and scored two top ten finishes on Sunday. Joel Alberts qualified for the shows at Chateau and Deer Creek where he scored an 8th place finish. Lucas Schott qualified at Chateau and Deer Creek where he scored a 10th place run after pitting early on, but his impressive run at Dodge County during the makeup feature opened many eyes. He finished an impressive 3rd after he ran down Sorensen to challenge for the lead. Action Engineering seen great deal of success during the 2009 season. To date this season Action drivers have produced 65 feature wins. Some notable accomplishments are: Lance Matthees with six feature wins and won his second straight Dart Late Model Challenge Series title, Chad Becker with 12 feature wins, 3 Track Championships and finishing second in the Wissota Late Model National point standings, and Cole Queensland with 22 feature wins, 3 Track Championships, Freedom Series Champion, and finished tied for 5th in Wissota Super Stock National point standings. "Racer Support Program" Action Engineering is continuing the racer support program, any driver who wins a feature will be given an in house labor credit towards the repair/freshen of their engine, at the end of the 2010 season the driver with the most feature wins will be given a labor free (includes dyno time) freshen of their engine. Labor credits will be given as follows: Modifieds and Late Models will receive $100 and other classes will be awarded $50. Click on the Racer's Support link to learn more about this program.
