Since 1994, ActiveMath Workshops has been revolutionizing the professional development experience in the area of K 12 mathematics workshops. We are proud that we provide motivating and exciting experiences to assist teachers to better meet the needs of their students. To date, we have had almost 5,000 teacher registrations with some teachers having taken over 20 of our workshops. The focus of these unique workshops is hands-on, real-world mathematics for both regular and special needs students. Registrations are limited in ActiveMath Workshops so we can provide participants with individual attention and enable active participation. Each of our veteran facilitators has over 30 years of mathematics teaching experience. Our focused workshop curricula, created by our facilitators for each specific course, are aligned with state and national standards and are based upon the latest teaching techniques and accepted best-practices. So you can be assured that your facilitator has the deep content and pedagogical knowledge necessary to provide you with a truly worthwhile experience. Most of the workshops are held on Friday evenings and Saturdays to make it easy for teachers to attend. ActiveMath provides a comfortable and professional environment for the workshops through the use of fully-equipped meeting rooms, morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch (for most workshops).
