Description

Doug holds an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Juniata College. With over 15 years of industrial experience in application, product and process development, he has successfully guided products from laboratory to production in a wide range of large and small companies. His experience in polymer testing, polymer processing and high-strength composites complements Actuated Medical's diverse engineering base.

Research shows that feeding and decompression tubes clog on a regular basis – for nasoenteral (NE) small bore feeding tubes, the occlusion rate is approximately 25%*. If they remain occluded, patients can go without food or medication for hours or even days. Actuated Medical designs and manufactures tube clearing solutions that remove clogs in–patient.

From start to finish, our team designs, develops and manufactures under an ISO–certified quality control system. In addition, we continually seek feedback from domain experts to ensure our products not only solve real problems but also are readily accepted by clinicians.

Paul is a 40–year veteran of the medical device industry with wide–ranging experience in sales, marketing and device design. He is a key advisor on best practices for moving products and technologies forward, often engaging clinicians to provide input into the device development process.
