Company History Adams Eaddy & Associates came into existence on January 1, 1980 in a tiny two-room office located on the second floor of a converted house at 2606 Devine Street, Columbia, South Carolina with founding shareholders Hal Adams, Karen Burns, and Bill Eaddy. The three person firm was then known as Adams Burns and Eaddy. Against the backdrop of an uncertain economy, the three began to take on the established insurance firms making use of new technology and innovative insurance products underwritten by the Insurance Company of North America and Chubb & Son. Their hard work, youthful exuberance, and success soon began to attract the attention of both new customers and competitor insurers and their business and portfolio of insurance company partners grew.
