Kyle Adkins, Sr. started Adkins & Sons in 1979 from his kitchen table in Southgate, Michigan. He did all his own work, by himself, for the first year. In 1980 he hired his first employee and hasn't stopped since. Kyle purchased his first building in 1980, second building in 1982 and in 1995 purchased his current building located at 13789 Dix Toledo Road, Southgate, MI. In 2005 Kyle expanded to the Livonia area, purchasing a building located at 33555 West Seven Mile Road, Livonia, MI. Adkins & Sons now has two locations; one in Southgate and one in Livonia.
