Adoption-Link was founded in August 1992 by Margaret Fleming, a clinical social worker and adoptive mother of eight children. Adoption-Link is based upon the philosophy that children of all races, including those children with special needs, have a right to a loving and permanent home. Increasingly, prospective adoptive parents from all cultures and backgrounds are turning to minority children in the United States to build families through adoption. This trend has generated a need for educational, supportive, and networking services specific to the needs of these children. Providing these specialized adoption services has been the primary purpose of Adoption-Link. Chances by Choice, which was founded by Margaret in 2003, merged with and became a service program of Adoption-Link in 2006. Chances by Choice specializes in providing internationally born HIV exposed children, and the families that support them, the resources to thrive. Chances will continue helping HIV+ children through reunification programs, sponsorship, education, and humanitarian services. Adoption-Link began as an adoption consultation service.

Caroline has been employed part-time with Adoption-Link since May 2014. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelorâ??s in Anthropology and Psychology in 2008 and completed dual Masterâ??s degrees in Public Health and Social Work at the University of Michigan in 2013. Carolineâ??s passion is helping to improve the reproductive and mental health needs of underserved women. She has worked with pregnant women in Ann Arbor, adolescents in New York City, and midwives in Quito Ecuador in a variety of capacities. Caroline is also a certified HIV Test-Counselor and a trained doula, or labor and birth support provider.

The Council on Accreditation (COA), a national accrediting entity disignated by the US Department of State to provide Hague Accreditation and Approval, invites the public to provide comment on intercountry adoption service providers seeking Hague Accreditation, Approval or Renewal.

Adam has worked in the field of child welfare for over 10 years, specializing in adoptions. He is currently a part-time contract worker with Adoption-Link. Adam received his bachelor of science degree in sociology from Winona State University.
