In 1982, my father, Dr. James Whitman, started Advanced Biotechnologies Inc with the goal of making substantial improvements to public healthcare throughout the global community. After my brother succumbed to a fatal illness at a young age, my father made it his life’s work to seek more effective methods for treating human disease.

Virology plays a critical role in improving public health, and it is ABI's goal to provide the highest quality viral reagents for research and development processes. Our mission is to serve the biomedical industry as innovators and educators, spearheading the creation and manufacture of products instrumental to improving human diagnostics. Through the combined efforts of our network of clients, including scientists, clinicians, and collaborators, we aim to significantly impact the global medical community and to ultimately help people live better, healthier lives.

ABI is a leading international biotechnology company with over 30 years of experience specializing in quality viral reagent products, infectious disease antigens, and electron microscopy services.

For over 30 years, our Electron Microscopy (EM) services have allowed investigators to examine fine structure for the presence, absence, and quantitation of known microbial or adventitious agents in specimens. Utilizing negative staining technology, our scientists are able to conduct extensive analysis for virus characterization.

We take great pride in the quality of our products and services, and are actively seeking out innovative ways to improve our processes. We continue to expand our capabilities by incorporating state-of-the art technologies, and through awareness of new techniques and procedures leveraged by universities, medical facilities, and pharmaceutical companies.
