AMTI has over 25 years of experience designing and manufacturing specialty instrumentation, machines and measurement tools for clinical and research medical and industrial applications. AMTI has received numerous grants and awards from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health to fund innovative research in various areas of medical and industrial measurement technology. AMTI is internationally known as a leading manufacturer of joint motion simulation machines. Our hip simulator machines and knee simulator machines are placed in the majority of the worlds largest implant manufacturer's laboratories. AMTI manufactures and internationally distributes a large array of multi-axis force platforms and load cells used for biomechanics, gait analysis, ergonomics, and many other industrial and research applications. AMTI force platforms have been used in gait laboratories since 1976. In the late 70's, AMTI introduced their first computer aided gait software. Since that time AMTI has maintained an ongoing development program to improve and refine our hardware and software systems for gait, balance and human performance analysis.
