What makes Superchips special? It ’s easy to make more power at wide open throttle only. Just put a 160 thermostat in and the computer will think the motor is colder than it is and add extra fuel. This will give you a couple more hp at wot only. With Superchip ’s programming, we not only give your vehicle more power at full throttle, but better response and more power at part throttle without changing your thermostat. Better throttle response at part throttle equals a higher level of driving pleasure during normal everyday driving. Most of our high performance programs incorporate the following changes. To begin with we change the stock fuel curves and ignition timing to run on 91 to 93 high-octane fuel. These changes are made from just off idle to redline, in 400-RPM increments, so you get increased power across the whole power band. Superchips Incorporated also has the capability to raise the rev and speed limiters on most vehicles. On some vehicles we can also remove most of the torque management along with firming up the shifts and raising the shift points on most automatics. All of our products are thoroughly dyno tested as well as tested on the street to get the maximum performance possible. All Superchips products are tailor made for your specific application. We do not offer a “generic ” product made to fit all similar vehicles. Most Superchips programs will work great with a free flowing air filter induction system and a free flowing muffler system. Special Chips, Special Service! Where additional performance modifications have been made to the vehicle, we offer custom programming for most applications. For an additional charge, our custom programming can tune for the increase in flow through the motor created by Turbochargers, Superchargers, Nitrous, bigger mass air meters, throttle bodies, bigger intakes, cams, valves, headers, H or X pipes. Our custom tuning will optimize the air fuel ratio. We can also program for high stall converters along with gear ratio and tire height changes. Not all speedometers can be calibrated but we can adjust the shift points on automatics to work with gear and tire height changes.
