Advanced Transmission, Inc. has been in business for 19 years. However the owner and lead technician, Marvin Wilson has 33 years experience in the transmission industry. His late father, Woody Wilson, owned and operated his own shop for 35 years where Marvin got an early start as a young boy. Through the guidance of Marvin's father, God, and the best work team you could ask for, we provide the community with superior quality transmission repair, while maintaining integrity, honesty, and pride in our work.

Advanced Transmission specializes in custom built, high performance, personal use, and commercial use transmission repair, with nationwide warranties on most of our work. Locally owned and operated, we can give our customers personalized service, with a feeling of pride for a job well done. We have acquired the latest equipment, including several electronic scan tools, and our employees are continuously attending training classes to keep themselves abreast of the rapid changes in this industry, in order to offer you, the customer, the highest quality service possible.

Donnie is the transmission rebuilder at Advanced Transmission with over 30 years’ experience. His extensive knowledge of the transmission theory (how it really works), is priceless in this industry. Donnie is an ATRA certified transmission Rebuilder and Diagnostician, along with being ASE certified. Donnie is known to be one of the best transmission rebuilders in the Southeast.

Marvin is co-owner and Lead technician of Advanced Transmission, overseeing the shops daily production. Marvin is an ATRA Certified Rebuilder, Diagnostician and Chassis Technician. He is also ASE certified. Marvin grew up in the transmission business working for his father for 17 years, gaining priceless knowledge about older model transmissions from his father the late Woody Wilson.
