Mrs. Jeanne Sanders Bishop, 84 , of Lodge Highway, Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Sunday, September 8, 2013 at MUSC in Charleston. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 12, 2013, at St. Johns Baptist Church, Ehrhardt. Mrs. Bishop was born October 20, 1928 in Statesboro, Georgia and was a daughter of the late Leon Sanders and Ethel Bennett Sanders. She was a graduate of Limestone College and was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church. Her love of children lead her to be a grammar school teacher for over 35 years. Mrs.

Funeral services for Mildred Anderson, 89 , of Bamberg, were held Saturday, March 30, 2013. She was born November 30, 1923, in Bamberg County to the late Ishmael and Phrisell Wright Johnson. After graduating from the South Carolina public schools, she furthered her education at South Carolina State College, earning a B.S. degree in home economics. She did postgraduate study at Howard University in Washington, D.C., in early childhood education and social work. Mildred taught as an elementary school teacher in South Carolina before marrying the late Otis L Anderson in 1951.
