Carl Brakensiek, AdvoCal's founding partner, augments his 35 years of legislative and advocacy experience with his partner, Kacy Wallis' decade of experience in association management. Together with Steve Cattolica's two decades of business experience, AdvoCal provides client-focused, results-oriented services to several statewide associations and a diverse number of corporations, professional societies and trade councils before the State Legislature and various administrative agencies. AdvoCal's principals and staff have more than 85 years combined experience in managing a wide variety of public and private organizations.

Alexandra (Alex) Kerstner joined AdvoCal in February 2004, after relocating from Seattle, Washington. As an Executive Assistant, she is often the first point of contact to our clients, providing efficient service and support. As the Director of Membership Services for the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery, California Association of Licensed Repossessors, as well as the Golden State Feed and Grain Association, her responsibilities include database maintenance, invoicing, mailings, and publications.
