Magellan Aersospace designs and manufactures the Wire Strike Protection System (WSPS™). It’s the cutting edge in helicopter safety, providing a measure of protection from accidents and fatalities caused by inadvertent wire strikes. Magellan’s Winnipeg operating division is the global expert for this system with more than 30 years of experience and 20,000 kits deliveried. The Magellan WSPS™ is designed to guides wires over the fuselage into high tensile steel cutting blades.

Magellan’s Emerging Markets strategy is to develop a robust supply chain that will provide a global solution to our customers - yielding lower costs and offset benefits.

Magellan’s early program involvement assists our customers in developing efficient casting designs with optimum foundry producibility at the lowest possible unit cost. Investments in new technologies, state-of-the-art production equipment and modern operating systems deliver distinct advantages over our competition.

Prior to joining Magellan's predecessor Fleet Aerospace in 1985, Mr. Dekker worked in public accounting, providing auditing and accounting services to organizations that were publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
