Aeroshade is the largest manufacturer of woven wood shades, draperies and folding doors in the United States. Originating in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1912, Aeroshade has grown to become one of the community's most respected companies. Today, Aeroshade Inc. occupies a 70,000 square foot office and manufacturing complex, situated on a full city block owned by Aeroshade for future expansion. The company's young, aggressive management foresees great growth in the future due to energy conservation and the insulating factor of the Basswood used in Aeroshade products. Aeroshade developed and patented its own exclusive method of manufacturing Temlite Loomwood shades, porch coverings and draperies. It also developed the lock-twist design used in weaving the fisherman's seine twine in all Aeroshade products and holds patents on its weaving process.
