African Birth Collective

Description

African Birth Collective has maintained a presence in the village of Mboro, Senegal for the last five years. We have developed a midwifery exchange program that brings groups of international midwives and midwifery students to Senegal twice a year in November and March. This offers an opportunity for students to gain practical experience, provides much needed medical supplies, and allows us to demonstrate a more woman-centered, empowering view of birth.
