Description

The Customer-Owned Advantage Over the years, AgChoice Farm Credit has shared a cooperative spirit that is unparalleled in the industry. We have always worked alongside our customers, and during the past 95 years of AgChoice's existence, we have witnessed many changes. Our business took root in rural communities. As a result, we've understood the needs of part-time farmers, rural homeowners, the forest products industry and production agriculture from the very beginning. Serving the needs of agricultural producers is the only reason for our existence.

How We Operate AgChoice Farm Credit is a federally chartered, but locally operated, cooperative that is owned by its borrowers. A minimal stock ownership requirement accompanies a borrowing relationship. In addition, AgChoice Farm Credit allocates its annual earnings (profits) back to its borrowers in proportion to the amount of interest paid for the year. Thus, the business truly operates only to the benefit of its customer-owners. AgChoice Farm Credit farm borrowers purchase stock when they obtain their farm loans, giving them the right to participate in elections and a voice in the business.

The AgChoice Way Every business has its own culture, whether it just develops on its own, or if there is thought given to what it should be and how it can support the mission of the business. At AgChoice we know the kind of culture that we need to have to support our mission and achieve our goals on behalf of our customer-owners. We describe that culture in a document called The AgChoice Way . We believe the AgChoice Way is about living our vision of making a difference and providing you with what you really want.

AgChoice Farm Credit offers loans and other financially-related products and services for agricultural and rural communities. Our business ranges from farm loans and equipment leases to mortgages and home refinancing. Added-value services include appraisals, business consulting, crop insurance and much more. To learn more about how we can assist you in meeting your personal and business goals, visit our Farms , Forest Products , Country Living and Business Management areas. Additionally, we offer a full line of convenience services to better serve our customer-owners.

Patronage is one way that AgChoice is able to share our success with customer-owners. AgChoice distributed $15.0 million in cash patronage in the Spring of 2014 based on 2013 profits to our customer-owners. Our patronage program allows AgChoice to provide outstanding service to our customer-owners at a competitive price, and then return some of the Association's earnings back to you after the year concludes. AgChoice has paid patronage to customer-owners every year since AgChoice was formed in 1999.
