Description

A water heater manufacturer was in need of a deep drawn stamping service that could create a galvanized steel enclosure for one of their water heater products. The enclosure?s previous design required that RTV silicone be applied to seal the lid, the process was both time-consuming and messy. In view of the high volume that the product required, this approach was proving particularly costly and inefficient in the long-term. When our client decided to rectify this assembly challenge, they turned to us for a solution.

The company, in business since 1968, has continued to grow on a steady conservative basis and is constantly striving to modernize. We fully embrace the computer age with our own Website, Networking, Email, AutoCAD 2000, CAD CAM & CNC machining and CNC Wire EDM design. We offer a complete and highly skilled in-house progressive die and draw die design department. Our three engineers have more than 100 years of experience building and designing dies of every description.

At Aggressive Engineering Corp. , we provide custom deep draw stamping which allows the highly cost-effective, high-volume production of seamless circular parts. Our experienced design engineering team created the AutoCAD die drawings and the custom inspection fixtures. After stamping, the parts were fusion-welded to create a ultra-violet light chamber, intended for a residential water purification and filtration device. We used 304L stainless steel and employed a multi-stage deep draw stamping processes, and special die inserts to produce a scar- and scratch-free surface.

We provide metal stamping services for a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, military, medical, construction, and automotive. Just a few of the applications in which our stampings are used are electric motors, air bags, appliances, sporting goods, microelectronics, and lighting fixtures. We can work to tolerances of ±0.001", and meet ISO, AS, and Mil-Spec compliances. We are happy to accept orders from short runs of 10 or more, up to and including millions of units.

At Aggressive Engineering Corp. , our stamping expertise extends to our tool and die design and manufacturability engineering services: we offer 2-D and 3-D CAD modeling, reverse engineering using CMM, and efficiency engineering. Our CNC machine shop is capable of producing die and forming equipment with tonnages up to 400 tons, bed sizes up to 48" x 120", and deep draw stamping depths up to 18".
