The ADRC is located within Aging and In-Home Services of NE IN, Inc. Aging and In-Home Services is the local Area Agency on Aging. All public funding for long term care services for the elderly and disabled are administered by the agency which was founded in 1974. The ADRC was created over the past 2 years to meet the growing needs of individuals who would rather remain at home than enter an institution. With the population of older adults increasing rapidly in the United States, the assistance provided by the ADRC will play a key role in helping people find the services they need.

AIHS has been serving the 9 counties of northeast Indiana for over 35 years. Designated as the single point of entry for Long Term Care by the state of Indiana, AIHS is available and ready to assist seniors, disabled and their families with the growing number of options when considering long-term care.

Our Case Management Staff is certified by the state of Indiana to provide the full range of services needed to determine the best options in long-term care.

The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) has several Case Managers on staff that have completed the training to become certified State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Counselors. As SHIP Counselors they are able to answer questions and counsel Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers about Medicare, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, Medicare prescription drug plans, long-term care insurance and other health insurance concerns. Our goal is to provide unbiased information on Medicare health care products.

The Nutrition Driver is responsible to deliver food and supplies in a safe manner to homebound clients and to nutrition sites and/ or distribution centers in the 9 county area Preferred experience in food handling and/or working with the elderly.
