First General Services of NE Pa. proudly announces that it will conduct its 26th annual charity golf event Friday, September 10, 2010, at Irem Country Club in Dallas Pa. The annual event is sponsored as a means of generating funds for local charitable agencies through coordination with the Luzerne Foundation. All proceeds from the event are directed back to the local community as part of First General's "community reinvestment" effort. This year's captain and crew event will kick-off with golf @ 12:30 PM, followed by cocktails, dinner and prizes. Cost of entry is $75.00/golfer or $275.00/foursome on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, FGS will accept hole sponsorships at a rate of $125.00/sponsor. All golf proceeds are directed to the community through the Luzerne Foundation. Checks made payable to the John & Barbara Sobeck Charitable Fund. The participation for the event has increased virtually every year with a corresponding increase in contributions to the local community. This marks the third year of FGS partnership with the Luzerne Foundation in the charitable distribution. Last year alone over $10,000.00 was distributed to local agencies. In early 2004, First General Services of NE Pa., initiated a new base of service delivery through the opening of its offices based in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The Columbia County center has been under the supervision of Curtis Coppola since January 2009. Through close coordination with the well-established Wilkes-Barre office, the Bloomsburg arm of First General Services enhances the Company's capabilities of serving all of our friends and professional contacts in the insurance industry. The Susquehanna Valley counties served through Bloomsburg (specifically Columbia, Montour, Snyder, Lycoming, Schuylkill & Northumberland) continue to benefit from a closer proximity to the vast array of specialized fire, smoke & water services provided by First General Services throughout NE Pa. Assisting Curtis in the delivery of our specialized services is Tina Reilly. As Office Manager, Tina capably handles the scheduling of appointments, timely delivery of estimates, and the ongoing coordination of work related activities on a daily basis.
