A non-profit corporation founded in the state of Colorado. The Foundation is dedicated to providing the leadership and resources that have resulted in increased research, improved health, early and accurate detection, and the inspiration needed to find a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

AirSep Corporation manufactures the largest variety of field-proven, reliable oxygen concentrators in the world. These concentrators provide dependable service in home, hospital, and clinical settings with unique and exclusive features. All AirSep oxygen concentrators are used by oxygen patients to meet their therapeutic needs in more than 100 countries around the globe.

When AirSep was founded in 1987, the Internet boom was still several years away. Connecting to customers in other countries via a company website was not yet an option. But that did not stop AirSep from steadily building up its exports, which now account for nearly half of its total sales. The Amherst-based company, which makes medical and industrial air separation equipment, sells its products into more than 100 countries.

Rosanna Masucci, senior international trade specialist with the Commerce Department’s Export Assistance Office in Buffalo, said Buffalo-area businesses often have more experience in exporting than they give themselves credit for. They will mention they already sell into Canada, without thinking of that as exporting, she said.

The company employs 380 people and is the world’s largest producer of oxygen concentrators — including high profile clients like the Buffalo Bills.
