We perform lens repairs and hardcoating with AWR 8000 and AWR 8000XL for Dassault Falcon Jets, Gulfstreams, and Raytheon Hawkers. AWR holds certifications from British Aerospace, Cessna, Gulfstream, Raytheon, CAGE, FAA, JAA, NDT level III Hot plate and Deice Strip repairs. Send your windows and lenses to AWR - or we can come to you! Light twin aircraft can fly into Torrance airport for free evaluations (subject to type of inspection and 48 hours notice). AWR does not use any outsourced or temporary personnel. We participate in a federally approved anti-drug testing program and an alcohol misuse prevention program. The founder, Robert Cupery, is the past Northrop Director of Maintenance. Born in Friesland, Wisconsin, Cupery left his tiny midwest town at a young age to accept a job with the California-based aviation company. The idea of repairing aircraft windows came to Robert when companies were paying out vast sums of money on a regular basis to purchase new windows. That is when Cupery first saw the need - 25 years ago - and when he first developed and began constantly improving methods we use today. As a result his career with Northrop, precision had become a way of life for him and this is the principle philosophy of AWR.
